Ralink has discontinued the RT2501 USB WiFi adapter chipset, which is makes the aforementioned USB adapters difficult to obtain.
We have been testing and using USB WiFi adapters based on the Ralink RT3070 chipset on our newest products with good results.
We have tested using these adapters on a TREQ-M4 and TREQ-M4x. To use them on OS version 1.15 you will need to copy this
driver file to the \harddisk\bin directory of your TREQ-M4 or TREQ-M4x device. Once you copy the file you can reboot your TREQ and insert your USB adapter. From there you can use the normal Windows CE GUI or APIs to configure your adapter. Starting in OS version 1.16 we will include this driver standard. We have not tested it with previous versions of the OS, although it will probably work.
Note: We do not have drivers for the TREQ-DX and TREQ-L at this time.
We have obtained working test samples from multiple sources, please contact
support if you are having difficulty locating appropriate adapters
