QSI Builds Ethernet-enabled Terminal for Use with Galil's Ethernet Motion Controllers.

Salt Lake City, Utah. 10 March 2003. QSI Corporation has worked closely with Galil Motion Control to design and implement a set of Galil-specific Qlarityô objects to easily interface the QTERM-G70 and QTERM-G75 industrial graphic operator interface terminals with Galil's line of motion controllers via a serial or Ethernet connection. Both the Galil object library and QSI hardware have been thoroughly tested and approved by Galil for use with their line of motion controllers.

The QTERM-G124 Ethernet-enabled, graphic operator interface terminal features a 320 ? 240, lighted, color, graphic LCD display; touch screen; EIA-232 serial port; 10Base-T Ethernet connection and a host of other industrial-grade components.

The Qlarity Foundryô screen builder software includes a library of Qlarityô objects created especially for Galil motion controllers. This allows users to quickly build intelligent applications using libraries, which include buttons, gauges, graphics and numerous input, event, communication, display and control objects.

"QSI is pleased to work with Galil to provide a simple, yet rugged, graphic interface solution for their customers," says Mike Simpson, QSI Senior Sales Engineer. "The Galil-specific object libraries we jointly developed enable Galil users to quickly create an interface that is both intuitive and flexible. By interfacing through Ethernet, system flexibility is further enhanced as it allows motion control systems to be configured as either standalone or as part of a distributed control network supporting multiple devices."

Lisa Wade, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Galil, adds "What makes the QTERM-G124 so easy-to-use with Galil controllers is its Qlarity Foundryô screen builder software which includes a library of Qlarityô objects created specifically for Galil. Users can quickly build an intelligent application without writing a single line of code."
